Rozel – Sanford David (Sandy) Blattner, 94, died November 5, 2006 at Manor Park Care Center Midland, Texas.
He was born July 7, 1912 at Rozel, Ks. The son of Charles and Ellen E. Haun Blattner. He was an executive for Mobil Oil Chief Geophysicist, and retiring on November 30, 1976.
He graduated from Rozel High School in June 1930, and Kansas State College with B.S. Degree in civil Engineering in 1938
On August 14, 1932, he married Martha M. Eilts at Larned. She died November 13, 1991.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Linda Rounding, Irving, Texas; two brothers, Eugene and Calvin Blattner, Rozel; two sisters, Charlotte Becker, Hays and Dorothy Ideker, Kinsley; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Lockwood; four brothers, Joe, Leroy, Vernon and Charles; One sister, Ellen Bentley; and One great grandchild.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore with the Rev. Mitch Reece presiding. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
