Stanley E Jones' Obituary
Jetmore – Stanley E. Jones, 82, passed away August 30, 2016 at the Kansas Soldiers Home, Fort Dodge, Kansas.
He was born March 5, 1934 in Montezuma, the son of George A. and Eva I. Whinery Jones. A longtime area resident, he was retired from the Jetmore COOP service station manager.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion, both of Jetmore and he served in the United States Army.
On July 26, 1955, he married Dolores Ida "Dody" Dupree in Tucumcari, NM. She passed away January 29, 2003.
Survivors include: three sons, Gene Jones, Amarillo, Jeff (Adena) and Chad Jones, both of Jetmore; three daughters, Deb Smith, Macksville, Marty DeRusseau, Amarillo, Phyllis (Mike) Appel, Dodge City; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, with military graveside rites.
Memorials may be given to the Kansas Soldiers Home in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
