Larned- Sue Greathouse, 67, died December 11, 2010, at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend.

She was born September 6, 1943 in Wagner, Oklahoma, the daughter of David L. and Edna Mae Wiley Shearrer. A lifetime Larned resident, she was a Registered Nurse at Larned State Hospital for 38 years.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; American Legion Riders Post #106 all of Larned. She loved riding motorcycles and going camping, and also liked to sew.

Survivors include: two sons, Kevin Greathouse, Garfield, Randy Greathouse, Larned, a daughter, Carolyn Mallinson, Wheatland, Mo, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include: Significant Other, Gary Hiestand, Larned and family; Jan Suppes, Newton, Brenda Barker, Larned, Joyce Habermon, Larned, and Deeann Baker, Larned, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, brothers, Leon Shearrer, Larned, David F. Shearrer, Pawnee Rock, sisters, Audrey Bridges, Weleetka, Ok, Lottie Mae Leach, Inola, Ok.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Greathouse, one brother, Wincle O. Shearrer, one sister, Osie Mulinauex, and a grandchild, Heather Brianne Greathouse.

Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor LeRoy Lyon presiding. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be at the Larned cemetery in Larned.
