Larned – Susan (Susie) Jo Barnes, 65, passed away August 30, 2018 in Larned, KS.

She was born October 22, 1952 in Wichita, the daughter of Donald Clayton and Ruth Ann Henderson Martin.  A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and cross stitch.

She was a member of the Body of Christ, where she was a lifetime believer of the Lord. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and all children, spending time with family and worked on the family farm growing up.

On August 3, 1973, she married Kim Alan Barnes in Larned, KS. He survives.

Other survivors include: parents, Donald and Ruth Martin, Larned, KS; daughter, Jessica (Thomas) Moore, Larned, KS; son, Austin (Kendra) Barnes, Quinter, KS; four grandchildren, Gavin Barnes and Shea Salyers, both of Quinter, KS and William Moore and Cassie Moore, both of Larned, KS; siblings, Vicky (Darrell) Cole, Gordonville, TX, Dean (Ann) Martin, Lee's Summit, MO, Joan (David) Moody, Gordonville, TX and Jane DeVore, Hutchinson, KS;

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Ryan Webster and Austin Barnes presiding.  Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, KS. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, KS.
