Larned  - Thomas (Tom) Joe Seltmann, 65, passed away peacefully at home with his family and friends on November 20, 2019, Larned.

Born November 23, 1953 in Larned; the son of Robert Lee and Donna Yeager Seltmann.  A lifetime area resident; he was the Vocational Director at the Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility until his retirement in 2007.

He was a member of the Santa Fe Trail Association, Wet/Dry Routes Chapter, Fort Larned National Historic Site Old Guard, Rotary Club, Prairie Arts Unlimited, Larned Area Chamber of Commerce, and also served as Chairman of the Pawnee County Planning Commission, all of Larned.

His life partner and fiancé since 1997 is Tonya Schadel.

Survivors include; his father and step-mother, Robert and Betty Seltmann, Nekoma, his fiancé Tonya Schadel, Larned; a step-daughter Dallas Munden, Wichita and his brother, Richard Seltmann, Rozel.

He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Seltmann.

A celebration of life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with Pastor Damon Bradley presiding.  Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.   Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will be at a later date.
