Twila Joy Smidt's Obituary
Jetmore- Twila Joy Smidt, 78, died November 16, 2007 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was born October 7, 1929, in Hodgeman County the daughter of Carroll William and Mildred Fern Pitts Hendrickson. She was a Homemaker/Farm Wife.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Legion Aux, Red Hat Ladies, all of Jetmore, Hodgeman Geological Society, and Kansas Geological Society.
On June 5, 1949 she married R. L. (Bud) Smidt, at Jetmore. He died December 27, 1986.
Survivors include: two sons, Bill, Jetmore; Bob, and wife Jenniffer, Abilene; one daughter, Cleo Adams and Husband Curt, Dodge City. 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ernest, Parents, one brother Gail, one sister Lula Rumford, one daughter in-law, Barbara, one great grandson, Cody Barnett.
Funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Jetmore with the Pastors Rod McMillian and Mark Durham presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church, Jetmore in care of the Funeral Home.
