Larned - Urban Iru Huddleston, 97, passed away July 31, 2017 at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.
He was born July 21, 1920 in Alexander, Kansas; the son of Claude T. and Creta Marie Wright Huddleston. A lifetime area resident; living in Larned since 1945; he was a mechanic.
He was a member of the Larned Assembly of God Church.
On December 25, 1942 he married Clara Anna Boese in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She passed away September 20, 2002.
Survivors include; a son, Glen (Cyndee) Huddleston, Larned; a daughter, Sherry (Charlie) DeHaan, Hays; a brother, Alton W. (LaVerne) Huddleston, Alexander; four grandchildren, two step grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; two sisters, Claudine Huddleston, and Floy Coddington.
Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery with military graveside rites.
