Great Bend – Verda Lea Wickstrom, 75, died December 8, 2006 at the Kansas Medical Center, Andover.
She was born December 25, 1930 at Montezuma, Kansas, the daughter of Leslie Garden and Doris Feltner Thomas. A longtime resident of Pawnee and Barton counties, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, Otis.
On October 22, 1966 she married Ralph R. Wickstrom at Wichita, Kansas. He survives.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Thomas.
Survivors include: her husband, Great Bend; a son Mike Mauney, Pawnee Rock, four daughters, Linda Haynes and Carla Adams, both of Larned, Janet Warren, Great Bend, Patti Cox, Wichita; a brother, Irving Neier, Greensburg; four sisters, Donna Jantz, Syracuse, Maxine Dargel, Greensburg, Juanita Lieber, Goddard, and Virginia Miller, Ensign; twenty Grandchildren, and eleven Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:00p.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Linda Bolz and Pastor Kathy Bannister presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
