Obituary

Jetmore – Verona M. Diehl, 90, passed away July 29, 2014, at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was born February 21, 1924 in Jetmore, the daughter of Roy C. and Nancy H. Brumfield Kellogg. A longtime area resident, she was the Central Supply Manager for the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore. The American Legion Auxiliary, The Senior Friends and did volunteer work at the hospital and the Salvation Army, all in Dodge City.
On May 5, 1945, she married Roy L. Diehl in Dodge City. He passed away on March 5, 1983.
Survivors include: three sons, Sonny and wife Linda, Fort Collins, CO, Marty, Leavenworth, Ronnie and wife Jeri, Jetmore; a daughter, Lorina Mache and husband Gene, Schulenburg, Tx.; Seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great - great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kelly and Vernon Kellogg, five sisters, Iva Klinge, Nellie Grubb, Lola Merritt, Lou Johnson, Esther Fehrenbach and a grandson Jason Diehl.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Pastor Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be at a later date.
