Larned - Virginia K. Shearrer, 63, died June 5, 2006 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born January 11, 1943 in Larned, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret Wagaman Swartz. A resident of Larned for 45 years, moving from Macksville, she was the EMS Director for the city of Larned.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Larned.
On June 10, 1962 she married Charles "Leon" Shearrer at Larned. He survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Jennifer Eakin, Lawrence, Rebecca Knauf, Rozel and Stacy Shearrer, Lawrence, four brothers, J.R. Swartz, Ron Swartz, Bob Swartz, California, Richard Swartz, Springdale, Arkansas, two sisters, Carolyn Hunt, Larned, Betty Hood, Great Bend, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; a brother, Billy Swartz.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with the Pastors Dan Lundgren and Jack Hopkins presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
