Virginia L. Shortridge's Obituary
Jetmore – Virginia Lee Shortridge, 80, died November 17, 2011, at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was born February 7, 1931, at Hays, the daughter of Henry F. and Joyce Lyon Foreman. A lifetime area resident, she was a retired CNA at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, 4-H Leader, FCE Extension Unit and was on the fair board, all of Jetmore.
On August 20, 1950, she married Harold Shortridge at Fairbury, Nebraska. He survives.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Karla J. Whiteside, Topeka, Kari L. Weis, Jetmore. Krista L. Lindsey, El Dorado, Kathi R. Wright, Colby; a sister, La Faun Nuchols, Torrance, California; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jackson William Whiteside.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Revs. Gary Winget and Mark Durham presiding. Friends may call 9a.m. to 8p.m Saturday and Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Brown's Grove Cemetery, Burdett.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the 4-H Foundation in care of the funeral home.
