Pawnee Rock, Vown O. Epperson Sr., 81, died, January 28, 2009 at his home, Pawnee Rock.
He was born January 5, 1928 in Kenwood, Colorado, the son of George W. and Estella Jane Scobey Epperson. A longtime area resident since 1970, he was retired from Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas Company.
He was a member of the Lions Club in Pawnee Rock.
On April 19, 2008 he married Joyce Louise Bishop at Jarvie, Alberta, Canada. She survives.
Other survivors include; eight sons; Carl Leigh, and Timothy, both of Ness City, Vown jr., Gage, Oklahoma, Daniel Dains, Tennessee, Andrew, Enid, Oklahoma, Greg, Lawrence, Jordan Scratch, Pawnee Rock, Joshua Reay, Westlock, Alberta Canada, six daughters; Connie Zimmerman, Great Bend, Angela Daines, Freeport, TX, Deana Epperson, McMurry, Canada, Melisa Epperson, Edmond, Alberta, Canada, Carley Scratch, Heaven Scratch, both of Pawnee Rock, a brother; Ray Epperson, Colorado, two sisters; Ardith, Colorado, Claudine, California, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; a son, Ralph Eddie Epperson and a daughter; Vonda Dickson.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
