Obituary

Garfield - W. Howard Cline, 88, died February 2, 2011 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

He was born September 1, 1922 at Garfield, Kansas the son of William Jacob and Martha Louise Arnold Cline. A lifetime Pawnee County resident, he was a farmer.

He was a member of the Garfield Methodist Church, Lions Club, American Legion, and CO-OP, all of Garfield. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

On June 5, 1942 he married Mildred Jane Carlson at Garfield. She died August 17, 2007.

Survivors include: two sons, Bill (Joan), Bob, (Cindy), both of Garfield; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son Steven; a daughter Connie; two brothers, John Cline and Tom E. Johnston; and a great granddaughter, Natalie Grace Johnson.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastors Irving Simon and Dennis Scheibmeir presiding. Friends may call from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery, Garfield, Kansas.
