Obituary

Jetmore – Walter E. Steinbring, 80, died May 8, 2009 at the Kansas Medical Center, Andover, Kansas.

He was born April 21, 1929 at Spearville, the son of Fred and Lillian Demain Steinbring. A resident of Jetmore, he was a farmer and a retired Weed Director for Ford and Hodgeman County.

He was of the Christian Faith, V.F.W., Dodge City, American Legion, Country Club, School board member for 8 years, and the Booster Club, all of Jetmore.

On June 1, 1957, he married Gail Scott at Wichita. She survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Brenda and husband Mike Schmidtberger, Gardner, Kansas and Linda Steinbring, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Gene Steinbring, Wamego, and Junior Steinbring, Jetmore; one granddaughter, Morgan Schmidtberger.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Steinbring and a sister Betty Jean Nelson.

Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday from 9a.m. to 8p.m. with family present from 6p.m. to 8p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
