Jetmore – Wanda J. Watson, 85, passed away March 26, 2018 at Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.

She was born August 14, 1932 in Jefferson, KS, the daughter of Claude and Eunice Friedline Scovel.  Moving from Caney, KS in 1953, she was a Home Economist for Hodgeman County and a housewife.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dodge City. She served on the Fair Association, 4-H Leader, Jetmore Booster Club, Jetmore Recreation Commission and received the SPIAA all league lifetime pass.

On October 27, 1956, she married Joe Watson in Dodge City.  He died August 6, 2004.

Survivors include: son, Jeffrey Allen Watson, Jetmore; brother, Everett Wayne Scovel, Derby, KS, and a grandson, Derrick Watson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Wesley Scovel.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.
