Warren Lee Peterson's Obituary
Ft. Dodge - Warren Lee Peterson, 91 died June 10, 2010 at the Kansas Soldiers Home, Ft. Dodge.
He was born December 26, 1918 on the family farm near Pawnee Rock; the son of Ed and Vergie S. Artz Peterson. A lifetime Pawnee County and Rush County resident, he was a Custom Cutter.
He was a member of the American
Legion, Larned.
Survivors include: two nephews, Donald Peterson, Larned and Darryl Peterson, Hutchinson; and two nieces, Yvonne Witting, Larned; and Lark Peterson, Pawnee Rock.
He was preceded in death by: a niece, Debbie Newcomb; and two brothers, Eldon Peterson and Lorraine Peterson.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday with the Reverend John Grummon and Reverend Johnny Augmon presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned with military honors.
Family requests that memorials be sent to the Hospice of the Prairie or the Kansas Soldiers Home, both in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
