Welton R. Parker's Obituary
Welton R. Parker, 87, died April 29, 2011 at the Southwind Hospice, Pratt.
He was born December 19, 1923 at Trousdale, the son of Russell A. and Sadie O. Kuykendall Parker. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer.
He was a member of the Trousdale United Methodist Church. He loved his family, the outdoors, gardening and local history.
On April 4, 1948 he married Gladys Marie Sibley. She passed away September 11, 1996.
Survivors include; daughter, Kathy Clark and husband Jim, Pratt, his sweetheart, Norene Monaghan, Haviland, sister, Goldie Gifford, Yakima, Washington, two daughter-in-laws, Angy Parker, Larned and Becky Parker, Hutchinson, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; two sons, Russell and Roger, and three sisters, Emily Parker, Cleone Michael and Darline Tandy.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Trousdale United Methodist Church with the Pastor Byoung Lee presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Burial will be in the Fellsburg Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the SouthWind Hospice or the Trousdale United Methodist Church, both in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
