Wesley "Wes" Nicholson, 80, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Midland Hospice.  Wes was born March 17, 1938 in Larned, KS, the son of John and Irene (Simmons) Nicholson.

He attended K-State and earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Fort Hays State.  Wes retired from the Goodyear Plant in Topeka and worked in the Documents Room during the Legislative Sessions.

Wes is survived by his wife of 59 years, Harriet (Pfeifer), his children Ron, Rachel and John; seven grandchildren; one step grandson; two great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Betty) Nicholson and brother-in-law, Roger Haberman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Nicholson; sister, Janice Haberman and a great grandson.

Wes thanks all of his fist bumping, jabbersizing friends at the YWCA for their love and support in helping him finish his 11 ^th Marathon so he could get his brand new pair of roller skates and a brand new key.

Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
