Obituary

Jetmore – William E. (Bill) Dixon, 91, died March 5, 2007, at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

He was born August 21, 1915, in Eastern Hodgeman County, the son of Abe and Beulah King Dixon. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer and rancher.

He belonged to the United Methodist Church, Jetmore. He served in the Navy in WWII.

On August 2, 1944 he married Dorothy Knoefler at Hanston. She survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Sharon Cameron and husband Robbie, Lubbock, Texas and a granddaughter Leslie Welner and Husband Brooks, Olathe Ks.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert William Dixon; two brothers, Claude and Byrom (Jiggs) Dixon; a sister, Pauline Cohoon.

Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with the Rev. Mitch Reece presiding. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
