Lynn Cline
November 9, 1950 – October 26, 2025
William "Bill" Lynn Cline, 74, went to sleep peacefully Sunday afternoon, October 19, and woke up in heaven on October 26, 2025.
He was born November 9, 1950 in Larned, the son of Howard and Jane Carlson Cline. He was a lifetime Pawnee County resident. Bill's legacy was being a strong man of God, his family, friends, and hard work on the farm, as well as doing custom silage work.
He was a member of the Garfield United Methodist Church, Lions Club, American Legion Post #300, and Volunteer Fire Department all of Garfield. He served the Garfield United Methodist Church in multiple capacities, including lay speaking. He enjoyed playing Thursday night basketball at the Garfield gym, golfing, his 1970 Chevelle, going to classic car shows with his brother Bob, attending activities and sporting events of his children and grandchildren and cruising with Mason.
On March 12, 1972 he married Joan Earline Bennett in Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include; his three children; Jenni (Jason) Mead, Larned, Jaeson (Lindsey) Cline, Garfield and Jake (Melissa) Cline, Eudora; his twin brother, Bob (Cindy) Cline, Garfield; eight grandchildren; D.J. Mead, Garrett Mead, Gunnar Cline, Mason Mead, Jack Cline, Kolt Cline, Breckyn Cline and Brogaen Cline and a great grandson, Braxton Mead.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jane Cline; a brother, Stephen Cline and a sister, Connie Cline.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Bill would be honored if family and friends would like to drive their classic cars to the service. Service will be viewable via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary with family present from 5:30p.m.-7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by American Legion Post 300, VFW Post 7271, and the United States Army.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Garfield United Methodist Church, Garfield Fire Department, or Alzheimer's Association in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO Box 477, Larned, Kansas 67550. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
