Larned – William Michael "Mike" Walker, 60, passed away October 15, 2023 in Salina, KS.

He was born April 11, 1963 in Larned, KS, the son of William "Bill" M. and Helen M. Callahan Walker.  He was a lifetime area resident and employed by the State of Kansas working at Larned State Hospital and Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility, retiring in 2017.

He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mike enjoyed travelling on his motorcycle, collecting shot glasses, camping at the lake, and cooking, but his true passion was grilling. He enjoyed time with family and laughing with a one of a kind laugh everyone knew.

On July 14, 1990 he married Diane (Dreiling) Walker, in Larned, they later divorced.  She passed away October 25, 2020.

Survivors include: his parents; two sons, Alex (Kelci) Walker, Larned and Bryce Walker, Salina; three sisters, JoAn Giles, Larned, Janice Eakin, Great Bend, and Julie (Graig) Peterman, Lyons; brother, Tony Walker, Larned; one granddaughter, Kamryn and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Visitation from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 with family present 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
