Hanston – Wilma Louise (Watts) McAllister, 85, departed this life on June 6, 2015, in Bartlesville, OK.
She was born September 13, 1929 in Quincy, KS., the daughter of Charlie and Ruby Crouch Watts. A longtime area resident, she was a homemaker, cleaned the office for Pawnee Valley Feeders for years and babysat for friends around town. Wilma enjoyed gardening and loved to can her own vegetables.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, both of Hanston.
On July 20, 1964, she married Boyd McAllister in Marion, KS. He passed away on November 25, 2004.
With this union they had a combined family of eight children; three sons, Loren (Linda) Brockmiller, Bartlesville, OK., Butch (Judy)McAllister, Liberal, and Bruce McAllister, Belle Plaine, KS.; five daughters, Karen Brockmiller, Bartlesville, OK., Sharon Stewart, Little Rock, AR., Mary Morris, Augusta, KS., Kay (Larry)Redburn, Desoto, KS., and Kim (Garrett)Welch, Syracuse, KS.; a brother, Wayne Watts, Wenatchee, WA.; a sister, Wynonna Heinze, El Dorado, KS.; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and five great great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Junior and one granddaughter.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m., Friday at the United Methodist Church, Hanston, with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Hanston Cemetery, Hanston.
